Jay's roots and commitment to the Lowcountry extend beyond the workplace. From his deployment with the American Red Cross during the historic flooding in 2015 and Hurricane Matthew in 2016, to his duties at the Charleston County Board of Elections where he serves as Precinct Clerk; he is fully engaged in the community. Jay attributes his work ethic and social consciousness to his family and to his education at Georgia Southern University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. Jay also serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Southern University Alumni Foundation, he also serves as Chair of the Georgia Southern Alumni Charleston Club.
